ArmyFit
The all-in-one Army fitness test companion for iOS and Android: score calculators, timers, video instruction, AI coaching, and a full test grader. 500,000+ downloads and a 4.8-star rating.
The challenge
Soldiers prepare for a fitness test that decides promotion points and careers, and the standards keep changing. APFT became the ACFT, the ACFT became the AFT, and every change left people working from outdated charts and guesswork.
Graders had it worse: clipboards, stopwatches, and hand-filled score cards for an entire unit, then hours of paperwork afterward. The app had to be accurate on day one of every rule change and simple enough to use in the middle of a test lane.
What we built
A native mobile app that puts the whole test in one place: AFT, ACFT, and APFT score calculators with profile and alternate-event support, purpose-built timers and a stopwatch for every timed event, and step-by-step video instruction for each exercise.
A progress dashboard with interactive charts, body composition calculators, a deadlift plate calculator, and PT Guru, an AI fitness assistant that gives personalized training guidance.
A complete test grader for NCOs: manage testers, grade an entire test start to finish, and export individual or bulk results to DA 705 PDF. Account sync keeps every record available across devices.
In-app fitness plans and subscriptions turned a free utility into a sustainable product, with a fast release cadence that keeps scoring current every time the Army updates the standard.
